Viet Nam Veterans of Diablo Valley!

The Viet Nam Veterans of Diablo Valley is a nonprofit organization, composed primarily of present and former members of the Armed Forces of the United States, who served during the Vietnam conflict and are eligible for the Vietnam Service Medal. The VNVDV is committed to improving the image of Viet Nam Veterans and providing support to Veterans, especially Viet Nam Veterans, through selected government and private organizations. Our additional purpose is to foster patriotism and loyalty to the United States of America, through the support of local community activities, which recognize the contributions and sacrifices of Veterans.

wheelchair foundationVNVDV & Wheelchair Foundation Distribution Trip to Vietnam

Jerry Yahiro has announced the travel schedule of the 28 October - 9 November 2019 wheelchair distribution trip to Vietnam in conjunction with the Wheelchair Foundation. The itinerary is provided HERE and days are specifically provided for the distribution of wheelchairs. The trip cost is estimated at $4,000/person - please note this does not include airfare. Flights are available from $900-1,000. Any VNVDV Members wishing to join this trip should send a $1,000 deposit check made out to VNVDV and indicate in the check's memo section that the check is for the Vietnam trip.
The cut-off date was 25 March 2019...talk to Jerry ASAP if you are interested in going.

Wall of Faces Photo Project Update...

Links below show California's updated list for Monday, 02/18/19. There were 2 names removed from the California list of missing photos provided on 02/11/19. Today the nationwide total number of missing photos stands at 1441, a decrease of 53 names from last week. Texas cleared its last remaining missing photo this past week.
There are now 202 California names without photos according to the VVMF Wall of Faces website. There were 430 California names without photos when CSC started this project. Today’s number is a 53.0 percent decrease from our October 2017 start.
Please let me know if you locate photos for any of the names on the list. This is the only way that we can document the value of this project and CSC’s success.
REMINDER: We are ONLY looking for photos of those listed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Please do NOT submit photos of living veterans.
